Will I get a warranty for my new DishTV connection?
Yes you will get warranty with your new DishTV connection. Details of the warranty offered are as listed below:
  • 5 year warranty only on Set-top-box unit
  • 1 year warranty on installation
  • 1 year warranty on LNB, Remote and Power adapter
Note: To avail the benefits of the warranty offered as described above, the customer must ensure that the connection is not de-active for a period of more than 30 days at a stretch.
What hardware do I need to get?
You will require a set-top-box, a dish antenna and a remote to control the set-top-box. All this hardware comes with new DishTV connection. Installation charges and charges for cable may be extra.
Where the dish antenna would be installed
Dish antenna will be installed in an open area with clear visibility of the sky to receive uninterrupted signals from the satellite. It can be installed on a roof, veranda, terrace or balcony etc.
Do I need to get separate DishTV connection for each room?
Yes, you will require a separate set-top-box for each TV. You can add upto 3 additional connections with your primary connection, at a nominal cost.
Can I watch YouTube and other OTT programs on Dish set-top-box?
Yes, now with Dish SMRTHUB which is DishTVs Smart/connected set-top-box, you can have best of both worlds. Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is an independent regulatory body to oversee the telecommunications industry in India.
What is TRAI’s new mandate?
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has issued new Regulations which are applicable to all cable & DTH operators. Under these new regulations which will be implemented soon, the Broadcasters have declared the rates of their respective channels. How will my subscription be charged now?
Broadly, your subscription charges would include two components. The first one is called the Network Capacity Fee (NCF). It is like a rental charge on the subscription. The other is the price of any channels that you select, either as a la carte or as part of any bouquet/ combo. Channels can be either free (Rs.0) or paid channels with a declared per month MRP. The prices of bouquets, combos and add ons, along with their channel details, are also available for your information on our website.

How do I recharge my Dish TV account from the DishTV mobile app?
Recharging your Dish TV DTH account from the My DishTV mobile app is fairly easy. Download the Dish TV app on your smartphone and login using your credentials. Tap on “Recharge”. Choose an offer or continue with to recharge with your monthly recharge amount. The payment can be made using a wide range of alternatives, right from debit/credit cards to mobile wallets, such as PayTM and/or Google Pay. How do I check my Monthly recharge amount?
While you recharge from DishTV consumer website, My DishTV mobile app or Watcho mobile app, we automatically fill your monthly recharge amount in the recharge field. Alternatively, you can login to your account on DishTV consumer website or the My DishTV mobile app to check your monthly recharge amount.
How do I check the details of my past recharges?
You can login to your account on DishTV consumer website and go to Payment details section in the left panel or you can go to the recharge screen-> Recent payments, on My DishTV mobile app.
I have recharged on wrong account, what do I do now?
No problem. Follow these steps to report this to us:
  • Go to Self-help centre
  • Select help category Payment and billing related-> Payment made on wrong VC – Amount transfer
  • Fill out the form shown with required details and submit.
  • We will get in touch with you and soon resolve your issue.
I have not received any confirmation for my recharge, what do I do now?
Wait for an hour as sometimes due to network congestion SMS or WhatsApp confirmation can get delayed. Meanwhile check if your services have resumed. If you still don’t get a confirmation and service also didn’t resume, follow these steps:
  • Go to Self-help centre
  • Select help category Payment and billing related Recharged online – Amount not received or Recharged through dealer – Amount not received (as per your case).
  • Fill out the form shown with required details and submit.
  • We will get in touch with you and soon resolve your issue.
Which is the cheapest Dish TV recharge plan?
There are several cost-effective Dish TV DTH recharge plans for you to choose from. Take this for an example: the most basic package you can opt for is the Classic Hindi Pack for INR 16 (NCF and taxes extra). It has eight (8) pay channels. All those looking for something more comprehensive, can opt for the Bharat Prime Pack worth INR 46 (NCF and taxes extra), which has 23 pay channels.
What is the minimum amount with which I can recharge my DishTV connection?
  • Minimum recharge amount for DishTV subscribers is Rs. 100
I can’t recharge by DishTV connection immediately. Can I get an extension in the switch-off date?
Yes, you can get a 3 day extension in your switch-off date in case you are not able to recharge your DishTV connection. For this, you can opt for our “Pay Later” service. By opting for this service, your services will not be discontinued for 3 extra days and you can recharge your account during this time.
What are the charges for Pay Later service?
There is a nominal monthly subscription charge of Rs. 10. Over and above this, you will also be charged an amount equivalent to your single day subscription charge (as per your opted pack). Consider this example: If your monthly recharge amount is Rs. 300. You will be charged Rs. 300/30 days = Rs. 10 for running Pay Later service for 1 day. So if you run on Pay Later for 3 days, it will be Rs 10 x 3 days = Rs. 30 plus the monthly service subscription amount of Rs. 10. Thus in total you will be charged Rs. 30 + Rs. 10 = Rs. 40.
Do I need to pay any charges in case I recharge the connection after de-activation and if I haven’t availed for Pay Later service?
You will not be charged any extra amount if you recharge within 3 days after your due date when your account is deactivated because of non-payment of the subscription fee. After 3 days, you will be charged a nominal fee of Rs. 25. This helps us cover the cost of maintaining your connection for while it was de-active.
How will I carry my DishTV if I am shifting my home or getting transferred to another city/town?

Is there anything that disrupts reception quality? For example, heavy rains?
A few minutes of outage might occur in extreme weather conditions like heavy rains or when the sun comes in the line of the satellite and earth. This phenomenon is called RAIN OUTAGE/SUN OUTAGE and occurs in DTH platforms across the world. This is typically for one or two minutes in a year, outage gets corrected by itself as it is automatically detected.
If something goes wrong with my DishTV connection, whom should I contact?

What is the set-top-box replacement policy, in case of a faulty set-top-box?
Charges for replacing a faulty set-top-box:

INR 250 Box Swap Charges (if set-top-box is out of warranty period) + INR 200 Technician Visit Charges (if Technician Visit is out of warranty period) + Hardware charges (if any)

Charges for Dish SMRT HUB Box Swap:

INR 700 Box Swap Charges (if set-top-box is out of warranty period) + INR 200 Technician Visit Charges (if Technician Visit is out of warranty period) + Hardware charges (if any)

Refurbished set-top-box will be provided to the subscriber in case of set-top-box replacement/swap, with 180 Days warranty on swapped/refurbished set-top-box.
What is a Viewing Card?
A Viewing Card is a credit card sized Smart Card, which contains information about the channels that the customer has subscribed to. When inserted in the set-top box it enables viewing of the channels chosen by the subscriber. You must take care of this card and note down its unique VC Number in a safe place and mention it in your every communication with us.
I have lost/damaged my Viewing Card. How can I get a new one?
You will get new card from dealer by paying Rs. 300/- again while the deposit of the lost/damaged VC is forfeited.

How to synchronize universal remote with your TV?
Press the OK and 0 keys together on the DishTV Universal Remote until the TV mode LED turns red: this shows that the remote is ready to learn.
Place the DishTV Universal Remote on a flat surface. Take your TV remote and place it in front of the Universal Remote so that their LED lights face each other directly. The distance between the remotes should be 5cm.
To program the Universal Remote's TV power button, press the TV power key on the Universal Remote. The red TV Mode LED on the DishTV Remote will blink once to confirm that you can proceed.
Press the power key on the TV remote. The red TV Mode LED on the Universal Remote will blink twice to confirm that it has learned the command.
You can follow the same process for VOL UP/DOWN. MUTE, SOURCE & Navigation(UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT/OK).
To save the learned commands, press the TV power key on the Universal Remote until the red TV Mode LED blinks thrice.
